Toshi is a wonderful tour guide…Viator review: Exploring Mt Fuji Ice Cave and Sea of Trees ForestToshi is a wonderful tour guide. He was very personable and accommodating. I was picked up on time from my hotel in Kawaguchiko and driven to the forest. I was the only booking for the tour, yet he did not cancel the trip. You can rest assured that you will not be cancelled last minute if no one else books the same tour. Pickup and drop-off is flexible as long as its around Lake Kawaguchi. If you have a request, just ask on Viator. For me, he responded within a day.
Toshi has been giving tours here for the last 10 years and is very knowledgeable on the geological and historical facts of area. I give my wholehearted recommendation to anyone considering the Aokigahara Forest/Narusawa Ice Caves tour. If you go on this tour you will have a good time and you will be supporting a local, small business owner. God bless and have a wonderful time in Japan!

Unforgettable experience during engagement trip in Kawaguchi Summer 2023Viator review: Exploring Mt Fuji Ice Cave and Sea of Trees ForestThis was during my engagement trip to Kawaguchi in summer Japan 2023 with my fiancée. We only stayed in this area for 1-night but it was the trip of a life time.
Toshi-san helped us getting all our safety equipment on before we entered the cave. He took time to make sure everyone can enjoy the forest as well as the cave. He explained everything you'd wanted to know about the area patiently and was always friendly.

Unique experience with an incredible guide!Tripadvisor review: Exploring Mt Fuji Ice Cave and Sea of Trees ForestIt was an easy and short walk to the cave. The cave was very interesting and we felt safe the whole time. Our guide was Toshi, a local, who was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and explained to us some history and interesting information about both the cave and forest. He was also able to point out some deer and boar tracks on our way to the cave.
This guide is also kid friendly as our session had a family with two little ones. Tada kept them entertained and confident even during the cave part which was quite dark.
Definitely recommend this cool experience!
